December 21, 2001

Split up the saxophone fingering charts pages.

December 18, 2001

Split up the recorder fingering charts pages. The plan is to add key images to the recorder charts (and subsequently, to the charts for the other instruments) as have been done for the flute and clarinet charts. Adding key images can easily double or triple the page sizes and load times, so chopping them into pieces ensures that no page will take an unreasonable amount of time to on a modem connection.

December 17, 2001

Adopted a different octave designation system, identical for all instruments. Middle C is now called C4, the tuning note A (such as A440) is A4 (a sixth above middle C), the lowest A of the piano is A0, and the highest C on a modern flute is C7. This notation replaces the different, confusing instrument-specific system used previously.
